Information for New Patients

Taking the first step can feel like a leap

We understand that starting something new—especially when it comes to your mental health—can feel uncertain. At Wily Wellness, we aim to make the process clear, supportive, and engaging.

Here’s what you can expect as you get started:

  • When you click the Get Started button in the upper right corner of our website, you’ll be able to choose between a Zoom or in-office initial care visit and select a tentative date and time.

You'll then be asked to enter your contact information. Be sure to note the email address and phone number you use, as you’ll need them later to access the patient portal. If you have alternate spellings of your name, keep track of which one you enter here.

Next, you’ll complete a few brief screening questions before entering your credit card information to secure your appointment. For details on appointment costs, please visit our Fees page.

  • After booking, you’ll receive an email with a link to complete the Initial Care Visit form. Please complete and sign the form, along with any attachments, and submit everything at least two days before your scheduled appointment. The process should take about 20-30 minutes.

It may be helpful to gather some information before starting. The form will ask about:

    • Medication history – past medications that worked well or did not

    • Current providers – contact information for your psychiatrist and/or therapist (if you’d like us to request records for continuity of care)

    • Standardized assessments – questions to help us understand your current mental health and any symptoms you may be experiencing

  • At your Initial Care Visit, you’ll meet with your provider and begin building your therapeutic relationship. Together, you’ll develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals. If you are seeking ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), we will plan your initial sessions and schedule them.

  • Your provider will meet with you according to the plan you created together. You’ll also have secure messaging access through the patient portal.

Between appointments, you may have optional activities such as journaling, worksheets, and brief assessments to measure your progress over time.

All of this will be available in the patient portal, keeping your care organized and accessible.
